We love sidewalk chalk here. It’s a great time to practice writing letters and be outside at the same time. One pack of these chalk eggs at the Dollar Store provided a good 30 minutes of fun today. Daniel has been sick this morning but still had a pour today and had to get up and get going. My mission is to continue where we left off yesterday here at the house. For Mother’s Day my greatest desire was to just be home one full day all together and work on home projects. I know this isn’t fun for Daniel so I was very appreciative of the progress we made. It’s very hard to ever accomplish anything around here when we are so on the go and constantly dipping in and out. By having no plans, we could focus better on getting things done.
We had to do a modem/router relocation and we started to set up the playroom as a school room. I had him install some locks and different baby proofing things as well. We all drove in the beautiful weather yesterday to pick up lunch from Anna’s Pizza and I thoroughly enjoyed my salad, garlic knots and pizza…a little too much I think. Now I’m busy cleaning up the house and trying to figure out toy organization in the school room again. Might have to make a Dollar Tree run later. I’m keeping an eye out for the sickness to attack Abigail or myself but so far, it hasn’t taken hold of us just yet like I thought it was going to this morning. It appears to be the stomach bug for Daniel. Poor guy. I even cancelled my dentist appointment today, which is about a 45 minute drive for us, for fear we would be over in Gloucester getting sick and trying to make it home. We shall see. Hopefully Abby and I can bypass it.
It’s the little things that seem to make her happiest! I’m happy to partake in them with her. Once again, the little things don’t involve brushing hair or matching clothes.
